HOME > About the Artist

Inspired by the "color of speed", Lori Munro's cartoons have quickly become a fan favorite on her self-published website, war-wagon.com.

Lori's cartoon-art has been seen on ThatsRacin.com and in August of 2005, twelve pieces of art became part of the exhibit in Knoxville, Iowa at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum during the famed Knoxville Nationals. Lori's art was also on exhibit at the Hickory Museum of Art in Hickory, NC in 2006.

Self-taught, Lori has dabbled in many different mediums, from pencil to barbed wire sculpture to throwing mud at the barn wall just to see what shapes are left behind. It's all art in one way or another. Lori's companion, "Carbon Super Sport" even has his own thing going on at RacerDogs.com - check him out too!

All of Lori's cartoons are HAND DRAWN.... yes folks.... a pencil and a piece of paper! Once scanned the drawings are then digitally (and meticulously), colored, shaded and presented for your enjoyment! No fancy digital drawing tablets or tools are found at the War-Wagon studio!!

Lori can also be blamed for the custom creation of several websites including RaceTalkRadio.com, war-wagon.com, ihick.com, Racerdogs.com and many others. Lori's other passion is RaceTalkRadio.com with her friends, Dennis Michelsen and Mike Harper. Lori can be heard three nights a week on Doin Donuts and every Tuesday night is a part of the Thunder Crew show.
